Whether you’re looking for full blown roar with the AWE Track Edition Exhaust System or a more subtle lower decibel with the AWE Touring Exhaust System, the two A5 Exhaust options provide a solution for every discerning A5 owner.
A5 3.2L Touring Exhaust System
The more civilized of the family is the A5 3.2L Touring Exhaust. The Touring Exhaust features an x-pipe for enhanced exhaust tone and specially designed Helmholtz Resonators to eliminate drone.
“With the knowledge gained over hundreds of hours developing the Helmholtz resonators for the 3.0T engine…” states Ron Mangus, AWE Tuning’s Manager of Fabrication, “…we set out to develop a refined option for the A5 3.2 that would set a new standard, and that’s exactly what our team accomplished.”
The A5 Touring Exhaust is the perfect Performance compliment for the daily driven A5 3.2L.
Tips and valences
Both Touring and Track Editions of our A5 3.2L Exhaust System are available with:
Further, each tip variation is available in standard Polished Silver or our famous Diamond Black plating. The tips sport engraved AWE Tuning logos and are double walled to ensure a mirror polish, even under hard usage.
Resonated Downpipes versus Stock
For A5 owners looking to fine tune the sound of the Touring Exhaust even more, we suggest adding AWE Tuning Resonated Downpipes. AWE Tuning Resonated Downpipes feature larger than stock resonators in order to produce a mellow sound volume, and while they are compatible with both the Touring and Track Edition Exhaust Systems, the notable difference will be heard on the Touring system.
AWE exhaust systems are hand built works of art, are award winning, and are what your Audi deserves.
On the topic of volume
The loudest of the exhausts is unquestionably the Track Edition, with stock downpipes. This is a loud exhaust, with potential for drone due to the combination of the 3.2L engine and the lack of Helmholtz resonators. Family drivers and client entertainers, we suggest the Touring exhaust.
The distant second is the Touring Exhaust with stock downpipes. Still announces your entry, but is certainly daily driver worthy.
The quietest of the three is the Touring Exhaust with resonated downpipes. Distinct and sophisticated.
Stock is of course your quietest option. But we assume you’re not reading this far if that’s what you’re looking for...
