The OE downpipes have a restrictive cat located right after a bend in the tubing, causing exhaust gas flow turbulence in the system. By placing a high-flow HJS catalytic converter further downstream, it has smoothed flow and allowed air to move more freely. These downpipes will mate to this cat back system or any system designed to work with the stock downpipes. Also, these downpipes eliminate a set of resonators to produce a deeper, more powerful engine note. As with all AWE Tuning exhaust products, each TIG weld is hand finished internally to produce the smoothest flow possible.
