ECS decided that just because your car doesn't have a third pedal you shouldn't have to be stuck with the factory shift knob. This shift knob is made of forged carbon to give it a unique look compared to the other non three pedal shift knobs on the market. Installation is simple and utilizes set screws so you can maintain your factory shifter release mechanism. Instead of pressing the button on the factory knob you lift up on the collar on the bottom of the knob to put the vehicle into gear. For installation you simply to remove your shift surround and remove the old shift knob then use the supplied pieces in the kit to maintain your shift release mechanism functionality.
Pro tip: After removing the factory shift knob put a blanket or cardboard over the hole in the console to avoid dropping the set screws into the center console around the shifter.
