When it comes to engine performance, hot air is the enemy. These phenolic spacers do an excellent job of reducing heat soak in the intake manifold by removing the metal-to-metal contact between the manifold and head. Thus, leading to reduced intake air temperatures and denser air. An additional benefit is that cooler air has a higher resistance to knock, allowing more ignition timing advance - or boost. Either way, they both equal more power!
