Although the ECS Tuning Luft-Technik Intake System is designed to deflect heat as best as possible from the air filter, a little extra help won't hurt and adds a touch of gold to the engine bay. This kit includes 2 pieces of DEI Reflect-a-Gold, pre-cut to install directly onto the Luft-Technik Intake System main heat shield for additional protection from engine heat. No need to deal with cutting and trying to match up a full sheet.
Applying of the Reflect-a-Gold kit is recommended before installation of the intake system for ease. Just line up the pre-cut pieces with the main heat shield of the intake system, peel off the backing, and apply!
