This mount allows you to secure the rear shock to the body of your VW or Audi. Common to wear out and cause clunking, rattling or a squishy ride, replace if on higher mileage vehicles during rear shock replacement.
If this piece has broken, bent, or become damaged, it could cause premature failure of the rear shock and possibly other suspension components, if let go long enough. Inspect these mounts when replacing your rear shocks to ensure that your suspension is in top shape.
This kit includes a pair of rear shock mounts, revised "round" style bump stops and shock boots along with upper installation hardware.
