By lowering the thermostat temperature, improving thermal conductivity of coolant, and lowering the temperature at which the electric auxiliary fan engages, the need for the mechanical crank fan can be eliminated. This results in a reduction in drag on engine as well as a reduction in weight in the nose of the vehicle.
Utilizing this kit requires your vehicle to have a functional auxiliary fan. If your OE auxiliary fan (mounted in front of the radiator) is missing or non-functional, please see 64508364093 for a replacement, or upgrade to a high-volume performance alternative.
