You can get a reaction to the chrome or gold plating if a steel socket is used to tighten them.
Remedy - Place a barrier between the bolt and socket when tightening. Caution: Do not over tighten.
If brake dust is left to settle over time this will cause damage to the finish;
Remedy - it is recommended that the wheels be washed down with hot soapy water after a long drive. This is also the case if the car will stored particularly long period.
RM Bolts must tighten from the front so care must be taken.
