They are ?spring?steel washers that push on to and grip a threaded pin that is ?attached to the vehicle body. With out this tool ?they can be hard?to remove once corroded without breaking them or bending the pin. This Schwaben tool has been developed specifically to assist in the removal and installation of? these Clamping Washers. Designed to fit? 30mm diameter washers, the 2 steel pins which are 25mm apart engage with the washer and allow any ? driver to spin the washer and allow it to ?wind? its way off. This easy to use tool ?helps avoid breaking the clip, damaging the pin.
