The rubber breather pipes used a number of BMW applications are prone to cracking. Over the years, the engine heat and weather can take their toll and either weaken or cause breaks in these hoses. Your engine begins to run much worse due to massive vacuum leaks. Additionally, BMW has an issue with oil separators freezing in cold weather if the engine is not fully warmed up during driving. Common symptoms are a howling noise followed by oil leaks.
This kit addresses these issues by providing new components and hardware. Both hoses, the separator itself, the mounting grommet, and retaining bolts are included. Servicing this system can restore performance.
