Traditionally, most bumper components such as trim, grilles, lip spoilers, splitters, and diffusers use standard plastic tabs that push through an opening in the bumper and are held in place by a lip on the end of the tab. Unfortunately, these tabs and the bumper's mounting holes are susceptible to wear and can?deform?with the installation and removal of the trim/accessory. This?can lead to loose fitment, rattling of the mounted components, or even full tab failure and the loss of your part.
Luckily, we have a quick and easy solution! The Universal Bumper Retainer Clip.?This retainer clip slips over the mounting tab behind the bumper and prevents the trim from backing out?by "biting" into the tab. Simply slide the retaining clip over the mounting tab, apply slight pressure to the clip and the trim piece until the clip?contacts the bumper, and you're done! No more worries of losing your parts when driving on rough roads or over large bumps.
