The Schwaben VANOS socket is used to properly remove the central valve located within the VANOS sprockets. The tool is a 22mm 16 point socket developed specifically for BMW VANOS systems on B38, B48, & B58 engines even including some Ford applications.
Please make sure your bolt matches the design as different designed bolts where used through production.
